Rated NC-17; Season 4 AU
Slow to pick up - a bit bogged down in similes and clever descriptions,
without much actual action or scene-set up in the first chapter. The
dialogue is lots of fun, and episodes of season four are neatly woven
into the story and tilted all AUish. The plot develops slowly
with lots of low-key humour.
The story does move too slowly, at times, and the AU aspects aren't always
supported or explained fully. Sometimes the characters are just enough
out of kilter that it feels like you're missing a chapter.
Overall, well-written and a pleasant read. Never gets too angsty or funny
or dramatic, but balances those elements nicely.
